Or build a tree house for your nieces and nephews. Do anything and everything you can that’s not related to work. Doing what you enjoy the most when you can will make you happier overall and more equipped to succeed at whatever your job is, whether it involves traveling or not.

Seek Out Adventure

Although you have to spend a lot of time away from home, and you have to often deal with unpleasant things that are out of your control, traveling around the world for your job can still have its incredibly fun moments, especially if you seek those moments out. So, try out new food wherever you go and spend some free-time people watching in cafés. Visit museums, introduce yourself to strangers, and savor your life of travel. You have the opportunity to go to places you’ve never been before, places people dream of going to every day as they sit in their offices and go through the motions of the daily grind. Make the most of the opportunity you’ve been given, even if it does make you feel stressed, homesick, and tired some of the time.
